The six Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in Lagos State who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday paid a solidarity visit to the Bourdillon, Ikoyi residence of the party's National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 

They were led to Tinubu's residence by Speaker,Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa. The lawmakers included Hon. Jude Idimogu, Hon .Famakinwa Adedayo, Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara, Hon Bello Akeem, Hon Oluwa Olatunji and Hon Sokunle Olusola Hakeem.

MOTHER APPLIES SNIPER TO DAUGHTER'S HAIR - GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?

By Dennis Naku A nine-year-old girl has died after her mother applied a pesticide, Sniper, on her hair to kill lice. A paediatrician at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Dr Gloria Nwosu, disclosed this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while addressing journalists on Thursday. Nwosu said the woman followed the advice of her hairdresser and put the pesticide on two of her daughters, aged nine and four, respectively. She noted that while the nine-year-old convulsed for hours before giving up the ghost, doctors at the teaching hospital saved the four-year-old. “Their mother felt that the hairdresser would know what to do since it has to do with lice. We did everything we could to bring the child back to normal, but it was all abortive. “She (the deceased) was very sick. The second child slumped in our presence and we immediately admitted her and gave her an antidote. So, the question now is how many of these children may have gone through this?” Nwosu said. LAGOS GOVERNOR APPROVES NGN1.5B PENSION MONEY FOR LG RETIREES

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the release of N1.5billion intervention fund for the payment of outstanding gratuities and pension arrears of local government retirees in the state. Mr. Akintola Benson Oke, the State Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pension, who disclosed this today at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa Ikeja during the 2016 Ministerial Press Briefing of the Lagos... State Government to commemorate the first year anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration in Lagos State, added that the government has also approved the sum of N1.7billion being the balance of 142% pension arrears to the same categories of retirees.
