Over 4,700 people were left homeless, naked and hungry in Otodo Gbame community, Lagos, after their houses were demolished by the Lagos state government.

This forceful eviction and demolition of the residents and their houses at the waterfront community in Lekki, Eti-Osa local government area, have now thrown the people into a serious state of unrest. Mothers have their children and husbands missing, fathers can no longer cater for their children and everything seems lopsided in the community.

These photos taken by Emmanuel Osodi, NAIJ.com's ace photojournalist, during a recent visit, captures the present mood in the community where fishing is their major source of livelihood. Check out the pictures below:
