KIRIKIRI BUS STATION TURNS ENTERTAINMENT GARDEN

Okay my people. Do you remember our bus park?
That place where we will enter all those rugged-ever dirty-malnourished-everlasting gear problem-slow buses either to boundary or Mile 2. Yes! That place that has the gateless entrance at Airport road and another gateless exit on Cardoso street is now an entertainment garden.

Well, the term ‘entertainment garden’ is simply packaging, we have to package our community small nah right? It’s actually an array of beer parlor shops and restaurants that has a big space in the center where people sit in the evening to have a chilled bottle of beer and a hot plate of food or pepper soup. 

Those old buses have all been sold to condemn by their owners and During the day, some korope buses carry passengers to Boundary only. From 6pm, they stop! Then the parade of the park changes.


Feel free to stop by at any of the shops inside the park to get a chilled beer, pepper soup, nkwobi, rice and beans, Akpu na ofe egusi, amala ati ewedu, agbo jedi etc. there is also a clean public toilet inside the park.

Wait oooo… Do you know that that short black man that kinda limps now has white hair and is still there loading buses?

It’s time we help our legends!

CHINEDU COMMITS SUICIDE IN DIOBU COMMUNITY

By Victor Azubuike A man identified as Chinedu Peter Ogwa has committed suicide in Wokoma Street in Mile Three Diobu area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital The 45 years old Ogwa, who hailed from Ebonyi State, was reported to have dropped a written note for his family after taking a substance that was believed to be responsible for his death. The wife of the victim, Chidinma Ogwa, who spoke to newsmen, said her husband recently developed a frustrated attitude after he complained how he had been abandoned by friends and relatives because of his current situation. AJEGULE COMMUNITY, OTHERS RECEIVE MOSQUITO NETS FROM IKEJA ELECTRIC

By Deji Lambo In commemoration of this year’s World Malaria Day electricity distribution firm, Ikeja Electric, has donated mosquito nets to residents of Ajegunle community in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State. The Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand’s Supervisor, IE, Adebimpe Akintola, said apart from Ajegunle, five other communities in the state were also beneficiaries of the gesture targeted at 6,000 residents. Akintola said apart from giving out mosquito nets, the firm was also educating residents on the best way to prevent malaria. She said, “We are concurrently running this intervention across six different communities in the state and our plan is to target at least 1,000 people in each of the six locations where the project is being executed.
