2 MISSING IN BOULDER COMMUNITY, COLORADO - 985 HOMES DESTROYED

Two people are still missing and feared dead after a wildfire roared through two towns in Boulder County, Colorado last Thursday and destroyed nearly 1,000 homes, authorities said on Sunday.

One person who had been reported as missing on Saturday was accounted for and was not harmed. Wind gusts on Thursday in excess of 100 mph (160 kph) worsened the fire's spread.

In about two hours, the fire had scorched over 6,000 acres, officials said, with the fire at times moving a football field length in seconds.

7 STUDENTS AND ONE TEACHER KIDNAPPED IN DAMBO-KASAYA COMMUNITY

By Ibrahim Mohammed Armed men on Monday attacked a school in Kaduna, killing one person and kidnapping seven students and a teacher, residents said. The armed men killed a man and abducted seven students and a teacher of Prince Academy, located at Damba-Kasaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. DRUG TRAFFICKING: SUSPECT NABBED WITH 106 PARCELS OF HEMP & 4 PASSPORTS

A suspected cannabis trafficker, Mr. Sylvester Gbenga has been arrested by the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS. Gbenga was arrested at Gbaji Customs checkpoint along Lagos-Badagry expressway on Wednesday and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, yesterday. In a statement by the Customs Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Command, Taupyen Selchang, the suspect was arrested with about 106 parcels of hemp. The House of Representatives has resolved to send a delegation to Ijegun, Kirikiri and Satellite Town areas of Lagos State to assess the level of danger posed by petroleum tank farms to residents of the communities.
