MAN HANGS HIMSELF ON A TREE IN TSE AGABARA COMMUNITY

A middle-aged man, identified as Kula Adasu, was on Tuesday found hanging from a tree in Tse Agabaragba, headquarters of the Konsisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

The incident was said to have thrown his family into mourning.

The deceased, who was married and had children, was said to have left no suicide note that would have revealed the reason for his action.

Sources close to the family told our correspondent that the extended family members had accused the deceased of being responsible for the death of one Master Terseer Adasu.

Gyuver was said to have died in Makurdi early this month and he was to be buried next week Monday.

A source said, “The matter became dicey when the family held a meeting and insisted that they would consult a soothsayer today (Tuesday) to identify the person responsible for the young man’s death.

“Perhaps, out of fear of being exposed, the deceased might have decided to commit suicide.”

The spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident when contacted.

“Yes, we have received the report of suicide in Konsisha,” she simply said.
