MAN KILLS HIMSELF AND HIS WIFE AT GOMOA NYAMEBEKYRE COMMUNITY, GHANA

A 35-year-old farmer/hunter has killed his wife and also shot himself to death with a single barrel gun at Gomoa Nyamebekyere near Gomoa Dominase in the Gomoa East district of the Central region.

A unit committee member in the area who confirmed the unfortunate incident to mynewsgh.com said the two after dinner went to bed only for news of their death of the two with the gun at the scene on Monday morning .

“It is believed that the man shot the women on the chest and later shot himself. We rushed to the scene this morning and took the woman to the Winneba hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival”, he said

According to him, information as to what triggered the husband to commit the act is sketchy but disclosed that police in the area have since commenced investigations into the matter.

A family member Gifty Annan said she was attracted to the sounds of gunshots and rushed to their room only to be greeted with the gory scene and raised an alarm attracting other tenants in the house.

Ethiopian Airlines A350 get water salute as the first aircraft to land on the newly rehabilitated Abuja International Airport  The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja is now open for operations and has been certified to accommodate international and local flights. This is according to the Minister of State for aviation, Mr Hadi Sirika, who told journalists at the airport in the nation’s capital that the rehabilitation of the runway is 100 percent complete. The minister landed at the airport at about 11.15am on board a Caverton helicopter from Kaduna, coming a day to the date scheduled for the reopening. 14 BED CLINIC BUILT IN YAHAYA KWANDE COMMUNITY

It was learnt that the clinic, located in the centre of Jos, would serve the health needs of the less privileged in society. The Yahaya Kwande Community Clinic has female and male wards, children and delivery units and a consulting room for doctors and nurses where emergency cases would be attended to. Dr. Suleiman commenced the construction of the clinic as part of his constituency projects during the Eighth Assembly but couldn’t finish it before he left the House of Representatives in 2019. He completed, furnished and handed over the facility to the community on Monday, August 24.
