HON DIPO SHARES EASTER FOOD AND MONEY TO HIS CONSTITUENTS

Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Honourable Hon Dipo Olorunrinu, representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency I, as part of the 2016 Easter celebration donated some items to the people of his constituency. 


According to him, the donation is not only to reduce the current hardship being experienced by many who may not be able to afford a meal but most importantly to show love and put a smile on the peoples faces as they celebrate with their families.

The items donated include food, welfare materials etc, while assuring he would continue to do his best for his people. He admonished the people to embrace love more than ever in this season and let peace reign while calling on, community leaders and wealthy Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

Hon Dipo extended his visit to the people of the waterside area in the riverine community to show some love to them as well. Community leaders were quick to thank the Honourable Member for his kind gesture and prayed for him.

LAGOS GOVERNOR APPROVES NGN1.5B PENSION MONEY FOR LG RETIREES

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the release of N1.5billion intervention fund for the payment of outstanding gratuities and pension arrears of local government retirees in the state. Mr. Akintola Benson Oke, the State Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pension, who disclosed this today at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa Ikeja during the 2016 Ministerial Press Briefing of the Lagos... State Government to commemorate the first year anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration in Lagos State, added that the government has also approved the sum of N1.7billion being the balance of 142% pension arrears to the same categories of retirees.

"PRISON OFFICERS EXTORT MONEY FROM US AT THE TRAINING SCHOOL" - TRAINEES

By Stella Iyaji, Joshua Odeyemi (Abuja) & Eugene Agha Officers of the Nigeria Prison Service undergoing a training programme at its institution in Kirikiri Town, Lagos, have accused officials of the school of extortion in the guise of providing them with uniforms. About 408 personnel of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Prisons, drawn from commands across the country, are participating in a three-month course on development at the institution, Daily Trust on Sunday gathered. The programme is due to be concluded on November 15, it was gathered. Participants, however, alleged that the school had forced each of them to pay N37000 for ceremonial dress, belts and caps, items they claimed to posses.
