SAUDI ARABIA ARREST TEENAGER FOR CHATTING ONLINE WITH AMERICAN ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Saudi Arabian teenager, who accidentally met an American internet personality, Christina Crockett, on a video chat site known as ‘YouNow’ was arrested by the Saudi government.

According to Riyadh police spokesperson, Colonel Fawaz Al-Mayman, the teenager, known online as Abu Sin, was arrested on Sunday for engaging in “unethical behaviour”.

Al-Mayman said, “The live broadcasting website ‘YouNow’ was launched in 2011 and was popularized among Gulf Arab youth. Abu Sin is 19 years old and he was arrested for unethical behavior. His videos received many comments and many of the general public demanded for him to be punished for his actions.

A lawyer, Abdulrahman Al-Lahem said the videos of Abu Sin breached Shariah Law and information technology law.

“The teenager could face prison term — ranging from a year to three — depending on the sentence issued by the judge. The ethics and morals of Shariah Law apply even on the Internet,” Al-Lahem said according to Saudi gazette.

STOLEN TRANSFORMER: “NO TRANSFORMER FOR KIRIKIRI TOWN IN EKEDC OFFICE”

An official of EKEDC has said that there is not transformer apportioned to KIRIKIRI town by the Local Council in their custody at their office. The official in a conversation with KIRIKIRI News media said that the office is not aware that the transformer sitting at Shokumbi street is no longer there. In a concerned bid to arrest the situation, The official directed the community to question the Local council authorities concerning the Transformers which was given to the community and who they were handed over to inside the community. This missing transformer has kept some families in darkness as the load which causes trip off is too heavy for the transformer sitting at Otun Street Junction. More details later….. WOMAN POURS COLA INTO ATM MACHINE IN CHINA

By Song Jingyu     A Chinese woman has been arrested for vandalism, after being persuaded by telecom fraudsters to pour cola into two ATM machines in a bid to retrieve money that had been stolen from her.   Zhang Ling (pseudonym), 33, played both victim and suspect in the absurd case in southwest China’s Chongqing municipality, according to a report by Chongqing Evening News.   The duped woman received a phone call from the scammer in November, claiming she had a 1,300 yuan phone bill. She was persuaded to call a designated "police station" number, and transferred 5,300 yuan (768 US dollars) to a bank account. As she grew suspicious, the woman called the fraudster up the next day, asking for her money back. The swindler told her to dump cola into an ATM. Officials of the Federal Fire Service, FFS, Wuse Zonal office, Monday, successfully subdued inferno that almost razed down the Wuse 2 Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The fire fighters led by the Sector Commander, Melone Onyekachi, arrived the Wuse 2 office of the Commission when the Service was alerted of the fire by the Incident Duty Officer of the Commission, Kayode Oyetunde, at 1910 hours. The fire started at the former newsroom which now serves as storage for ICT equipments that were retrieved from the commission’s former offices scattered across the capital city.
