RESIDENTS TOUNGE-LASH HON. AKEEM BELLO AND THE CHURCH LEADERS FOR ACCEPTING BUS GIFT

Last week, the Minority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency II presented two buses to the two biggest churches in Kirikiri town community, St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Pauls Anglican church
Stating that both churches played significant roles in his election as a lawmaker, he pleaded for their continued support through prayers. He promised that he would not relent in advancing the cause of the town.

While several residents of Kirikiri town community commended Hon. Akeem Bello for his good gesture of providing buses for the churches others tounge-lash constructively saying that Hon. Akeem Bello should set his priority right and that the churches should be evangelizing Christ and not a politician.

"This should not be accepted by a church. The church is supposed to evangelize Christ and not a politician. he should take his gifts back if he cannot remove his idol from it. he who has ear, let him hear"
St.Michael Ejeh

This appears to be a good gesture but do they really need the bus?.........Please set your priority right"
Saviour Ushie commented.

"How will a church bus carry the face of a politician and their church name. i am amazed at how our church leaders think these days" - Stella Ekeh

These reactions were cropped from online comments regarding the publication of the presentation event and comments from the LAHA Minority Leader, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kioko of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Venerable Levi Opara of St. Pauls Anglican Church have not yet been received as at the time of this publication.
