Before Punto took his shower at his home and rested, he spoke at length with his parents and siblings narrating everything that had happened without missing a line. Checheskey’s parents took him home without giving him a chance to say goodbye to Punto. Although both boys knew it is definite that they will meet in their usual place if the need arises.

  I wish to thank all those who came to my parents final burial ceremony, and thanks to those who helped with the service either with their personal time, brought food, flowers or helped monetarily. It was appreciated greatly from the bottom of my heart. Everyone who came and introduced themselves to me, and to those who didn't, I really appreciated your presence at my ceremony on April 22. I have to say, April 22 was the hardest day of my life, and all of your thoughtfulness made it easier to get through the day. A word of thanks can hardly say how much your kindness meant to me. But as my mom would say, "Tank you tank you tank you!" My parents will be missed dearly and forever by all those who cared for them, especially myself, her extended family. NO ELECTRICITY IN IJE-ODODO COMMUNITY FOR 10 MONTHS - RESIDENTS PROTEST

By Jesutomi Akomolafe Aggrieved residents of Oba Ogo Community Development Association (CDA), Ije-ododo in Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State yesterday morning stormed the Oshodi district office of Ikeja Electric, Okota to protest estimated billing despite 10 months of power outage due to spoilt transformer. Leading the residents who carried placards expressing their frustrations was the secretary of the CDA, Mr Olufemi Onasanya, who said for nearly a year, they have suffered in darkness. “Our transformer was taken away since November last year for repairs and was returned to us last month. Ikeja Electric has refused to energise the community after meeting their agreement of 1+1. We worked round the community to recover money for them, yet they still went ahead to issue us estimated billing for July when we have been without light since last year. “This is why we came here as early as 7:00a.m. so they can meet us at their gate when they resume for work.” After mee...
