A precise and straight to the point question requires an instant exact answer without delay.
Kirikiri Youth Forum CDA1, Owode Ijere Youth Forum CDA2 , and CDA3 Youth, where is the unity that once existed between us?
Where is the overflowing unity that brought about Cardoso road construction by the entire Oil Depots in Kirikiri town?
Where is the muscular unity that stopped criminal activities and operations in Kirikiri town?
Where is the keen unity that ensured safe business environment for business men and women?
We can keep on asking and asking, there is no limit to what unity can achieve.
Unity can be defined as the state of being joined together or in agreement.
2014 marked the season where the unity of the Kirikiri community youths began to dwindle. It faded away silently, it declined hurriedly. Crisis of corruption, love of money, greed, over-zealousness, power intoxication, politics, and nepotism were the viruses that ate deep into the fabrics of the Kirikiri community youth Dias.
After the construction of the Cardoso road, the community youths began to create different associations and bodies. Today we have three sets of community youths in Kirikiri town and more offsprings. How I wish we remained one body?
Since the eighty's, Fighting among ourselves in the community has been predominant and has never led to any form of development. In fact, that is the major reason why Kirikiri town hasn’t developed. Meanwhile, other people benefit from the underdevelopment of the town. It is high time to wake up and face our challenges . It is time to bring a long lasting development to Kirikiri town.
How I wish we were united?
Karimu road would have been completed since 2014 but for disunity, it still remains in poor condition. Good employments and provision of jobs would have been a thing of the past and no youth will be jobless. All the streets in the community would have been tarred and we would never hit our legs upon a stone. Security will be far achieved and the welfare of our parents will improve.
How I wish we were united?
It is high time we remove sentiments and stop the “money-money-money” chanting because money doesn’t finish. Money doesn’t make someone an achieved man, selfless service for a good course does. There is no other place like Kirikiri town in Nigeria today and we as the next generation has the right to protect its interest. It is our home.
We have to be united again. We must be united once again. We must come together and achieve development of our dear town. The time is now.
