His tenure has been met with many various and important roles since elected representatives of the community, which include, but are not limited to Represent the interests of the community, Represent the political party, Offer opportunities for citizens’ voices to be heard and use citizens’ input to adopt

acts that govern the local community among many others. His track records are glaring. He keeps on delivering!

As a councillor, you should be a bridge between the citizen and the local administration, which means that you should be visible and accessible to all citizens, communicating with them on a regular basis. You should also work to develop your positions and proposals together with your party members, as representing people’s interests will benefit your party and allow you to build strong policies, a key for future success - Hon. Lanre is that rigid bridge!

The Councillor, Hon. Lanre plays and will continue to play an important role within the KIRIKIRI town community -making process and openly communicate local government policies and decisions.

CHINEDU COMMITS SUICIDE IN DIOBU COMMUNITY

The wife of the victim, Chidinma Ogwa, who spoke to newsmen, said her husband recently developed a frustrated attitude after he complained how he had been abandoned by friends and relatives because of his current situation. BURUNDI GOVERNMENT ORDERS ALL SINGLES TO GET MARRIED BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR

In an effort to reform morals, Burundi government has ordered all unmarried couples until the end of the year to legalise their relationships. The government gave the order on Friday follows the launch of a campaign this month by President Pierre Nkurunziza “to moralise society” in the tiny nation which for two years has been in the grip of sometimes violent political upheaval. Interior ministry spokesman Terence Ntahiraja said the country was facing a population explosion which he blamed on “illegal marriages”, polygamy, bigamy and “hundreds of schoolgirls getting pregnant”. He said church and state-sanctioned weddings were the solution and were a patriotic duty. Nkurunziza said Burundians should show their love for each other — and their country — by getting married. NOW YOU CAN SELL TRASH IN GOVERNMENT WASTE CENTER AT NYANYA COMMUNITY

By Inès Magoum  A waste recycling center called "Cash 4 Trash" has recently been opened in the Nigerian capital Abuja. Commissioned with the support of Waste Africa, a non-governmental organization (NGO), the facility will primarily contribute to environmental cleanup. Abuja, the federal capital of Nigeria, is now home to a waste recycling center. Built in the Nyanya area, the facility was inaugurated on August 20, 2020 by Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, the Minister of Territorial Administration of the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. The waste that will be recycled in the new Abuja center will be collected from the population. According to the local authorities, everyone will be paid according to the amount of waste they provide. No details have been given, on the amount of the fee per ton. “We want to empower young people while cleaning up the environment,” said Minister Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu.
