GHANA BS NIGERIA: "WE MUST WIN IN ABUJA TO QUALIFY" JAY JAY OKOCHA WARNS

By Ifreke Inyang

Former Nigeria captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, has said the current crop of players have to beat Ghana in the reverse leg of their 2022 World Cup playoff to qualify.

Okocha stated this during his post-match analysis on Super Sports, following a drab 0-0 draw in the first leg on Friday.

The Super Eagles, who came into the encounter as favourites, failed to impress and did not convert the few chances they created.

The reverse fixture will be played on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Okocha said: “If we cannot win our match at home, then we don’t deserve to be at the 2022 World Cup.

“We must win to qualify. And we will be playing in front of our fans.

“What other advantage do we need?”
