KARU COMMUNITY: TWO CHILDREN RESCUED BY NIGERIA POLICE

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT ) Wednesday arrested three suspects for stealing two children from a school at the Federal housing in Karu area of Abuja.
A statement by the spokesman of the command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, on Wednesday, in Abuja, said the suspects conspired to steal the children on Feb. 11

Narrating how the suspects were arrested, Anjuguri said that upon receipt of the report, operatives of the command ‘s anti-kidnapping squad swung into action and arrested the suspects.
He said the principal suspect was arrested at her hideout at ‘One man’ village in Mararaba, Nasarawa state on Feb. 12, NAN reports.

The spokesman said that her cohorts who have been at large were also arrested on Feb. 13 around Asokoro, Abuja.

He said that the children, who belonged to the same parent, have been reunited with their parents.
Anjuguri said that investigation was in progress and that the suspects would be charged to the court upon its conclusion. He advised authorities of public and private schools in the FCT to be security conscious and to ensure that pupils were only released to their biological parents or approved guardians.

Anjuguri called on school managements to be vigilant and report all suspicious persons to the nearest police stations to forestall a recurrence.

AJEGULE COMMUNITY, OTHERS RECEIVE MOSQUITO NETS FROM IKEJA ELECTRIC

The Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand’s Supervisor, IE, Adebimpe Akintola, said apart from Ajegunle, five other communities in the state were also beneficiaries of the gesture targeted at 6,000 residents. 7 STUDENTS AND ONE TEACHER KIDNAPPED IN DAMBO-KASAYA COMMUNITY

By Ibrahim Mohammed Armed men on Monday attacked a school in Kaduna, killing one person and kidnapping seven students and a teacher, residents said. The armed men killed a man and abducted seven students and a teacher of Prince Academy, located at Damba-Kasaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday when the gunmen stormed the rural community while the students were preparing for their Junior secondary school examination‎. It gathered that the abducted students are JSS3 students who were among the exit students asked to resume by the federal and state government.
