I wish to thank all those who came to my parents final burial ceremony, and thanks to those who helped with the service either with their personal time, brought food, flowers or helped monetarily. It was appreciated greatly from the bottom of my heart.

Everyone who came and introduced themselves to me, and to those who didn't, I really appreciated your presence at my ceremony on April 22.

I have to say, April 22 was the hardest day of my life, and all of your thoughtfulness made it easier to get through the day.

A word of thanks can hardly say how much your kindness meant to me. But as my mom would say, "Tank you tank you tank you!"

My parents will be missed dearly and forever by all those who cared for them, especially myself, her extended family.

MOTHER APPLIES SNIPER TO DAUGHTER'S HAIR - GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?

By Dennis Naku A nine-year-old girl has died after her mother applied a pesticide, Sniper, on her hair to kill lice. A paediatrician at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Dr Gloria Nwosu, disclosed this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while addressing journalists on Thursday. Nwosu said the woman followed the advice of her hairdresser and put the pesticide on two of her daughters, aged nine and four, respectively. She noted that while the nine-year-old convulsed for hours before giving up the ghost, doctors at the teaching hospital saved the four-year-old. “Their mother felt that the hairdresser would know what to do since it has to do with lice. We did everything we could to bring the child back to normal, but it was all abortive. “She (the deceased) was very sick. The second child slumped in our presence and we immediately admitted her and gave her an antidote. So, the question now is how many of these children may have gone through this?” Nwosu said. LAGOS GOVERNOR APPROVES NGN1.5B PENSION MONEY FOR LG RETIREES

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the release of N1.5billion intervention fund for the payment of outstanding gratuities and pension arrears of local government retirees in the state. Mr. Akintola Benson Oke, the State Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pension, who disclosed this today at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa Ikeja during the 2016 Ministerial Press Briefing of the Lagos... State Government to commemorate the first year anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration in Lagos State, added that the government has also approved the sum of N1.7billion being the balance of 142% pension arrears to the same categories of retirees.
