DAUGHTER OF DASS COMMUNITY TRADITIONAL RULER KILLED BY RITUALISTS

The daughter of a traditional ruler in Dass Local Government Area in Bauchi State has been murdered by suspected ritual killers.

Her assailants also gouged out her eyes and dumped her body in an uncompleted building.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday when the girl was returning from Musa Bunu Primary School, Bayan Fada.

The corpse of the girl, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, has been reportedly buried according to Islamic rites.

Northern City News learnt on Tuesday that the police had commenced investigation into the incident.

The Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the murder of the girl but declined to provide details, saying the Commissioner of Police would address the press on the issue on Wednesday (today).

“The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police will address the issue (the killing of the girl) and other matters on Wednesday; so, I can’t give you any information on the incident now,” he said on the telephone.

14 BED CLINIC BUILT IN YAHAYA KWANDE COMMUNITY

In Uganda, according to the custom of the Banyankole community tribe, the aunt of the bride must have sex with the groom as a "potency test", and furthermore, has to test the bride's virginity, when the couple wants to get married. "NIGERIANS WITHOUT PREPAID METERS SHOULD STOP PAYING ELECTRICITY BILLS" - FG

By Jerrywright Ukwu Electricity consumers ​not provided with prepaid meters ​as at​ March 1 2017 have been told to stop paying electricity bills -  This is the directive from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) The Distribution Companies (DISCOs) have however fired back saying the rule is not applicable to all Nigerians The NERC has ​declared that electricity consumers ​that were ​not provided with prepaid meters ​as at​ March 1 should stop paying electricity bills presented by DISCOs on the basis of estimated billing methodology. The commission also ordered the DISCOs not to disconnect any such customer that refuses to pay the bills and further advised such customers to report to the commission if disconnected.
