DELTA COMMUNITIES DECLARES 3 DAYS MOURNING FOR ELDER STATES MAN GEN. OGBEMUDIA

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has declared a three-day mourning in the state in honour of retired late Brig.-Gen. Samuel Ogbemudia.
This is contained in a statement signed by the state Director of Information, Mr Paul Osaho, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Asaba.

He said that the three-day mourning period commenced from Monday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

The Governor directed that flags would be flown at half-mast across the state throughout the period.

According to Okowa, the declaration is to honour the late elder statesman, who was the governor of the old Mid-West Region and later Bendel State, now Edo and Delta states.
