RELEASED PRISONERS PAY HON. DIPO OLORUNRINU A THANK YOU VISIT.

Just like the parable of the ten lepers, prisoners who were held in Kirikiri prison, Lagos whose bailout fines were paid by LAHA Member, representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu have returned to meet with Him to say thank you.
You would recall Hon. Dipo celebrated his birthday on October 3 and made a visit to kirikiri prison apapa Lagos to spend some time with the inmates where he made an assurance of paying the release fines for some prisoners who couldn't meet the fine condition.

At the meeting, Hon Dipo advised the ex-convict s who were mostly made up of young youths to turn a new leaf, obey the laws and be good examples for their family and people around. Hon Dipo also told them he used his office for good as he has always done as an example to those willing to be government servants one day while encouraging them to make good use of their talent or learn a skill this he made effective as he partly supported them financially to start off.

The boys who could not hold their joy appreciated the Hon for using his office in giving them another chance just as they promised to be of good behaviour.

FG SET TO BAN SALE OF ALCOHOL IN SMALL BOTTLES AND SACHET - SEE WHY

The Federal Government has issued directives targeted at phasing out the sale and consumption of alcohol in sachets and polyethylene terephthalate, PET, bottles. The goal is to reduce availability and curb abuse. Effective January 31 2021, producers of alcohol in sachets and small bottles are to reduce production by 50 per cent of capacity prior to January 2020. Mojisola Adeyeye, director-general of the National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, disclosed this in a statement. Adeyeye said uncontrolled access and availability of high concentration alcohol in sachet and small volume PET or glass bottles contribute to substance and alcohol abuse in Nigeria. She added that NAFDAC and the ministry of health have engaged major shareholders and have reached certain agreements. Ibrahim Shuiabu in Kano Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to the late General Sani Abacha, yesterday promised that he would relocate to Sambisa Forest if elected the president in 2023.   Al-Mustapha, contesting the 2023 Presidential election on the platform of Action Alliance (AA), disclosed that some persons, numbering 56 in number, “are eating Nigeria like termites.” He made this disclosure during an interview with the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Al-Mustapha  was arrested on October 21, 1998, over the death of  Kudirat, wife of MKO Abiola. He was in Kirikiri Prison in Lagos until the court cleared him of all the allegations levelled against him in 2013.
