ONE YEAR IN OFFICE: HON. AKEEM BELLO PLANS TO LIGHT UP JOHNSON STREET

Hon. Akeem Bello has dished out plans to light up Johnson Street in Kirikiri town, Lagos to mark his one year in office as a representative of Amuwo Odofin Constituency II - Kirikiri News Media Reports.

The Hon. made this statement yesterday in a brief consultation with Kirikiri News Media along side the engineer who will handle the project.

"This is the engineer that will handle the installation and I am planing to put street light on Johnson Street to mark my one year in office" Hon. Akeem Bello disclosed.

However, it was not clear if the street light will be solar powered or electrically powered.

Speaking with an elder on the said street on this matter, he said that the project is a welcome idea but the future of its maintenance may be bleak citing same projects on Cardoso street and Ajanlekoko street.

"It is not about installation but maintenance. The solar power street lights installed on Cardoso and Ajanlekoko streets were installed by politicians and after that, there was no maintenance effort. Today they are not working anymore and we can bear witness to its rot" the elder who claimed anonymity uttered.

Hon. Akeem Bello popularly known by his opposition as 'Hon. Akeem Borehole' has made a name by installing over five boreholes in Kirikiri town, Mazamaza and Agboju areas among other projects in his constituency which stretches from Beach land Estate to opp. Ojo Barracks area of the state.

Kirikiri News Media will use this medium to appeal to the LAHA Minority leader to support community reporting with state of the art cameras, laptops, internet connections to ensure his projects for his constituency remains publicized to resident in Amuwo Odofin and its environs.
