CHICKEN WITHOUT LEGS - CHRISTENED TOUGH CHICKEN BY RESIDENTS

How does a chicken without claws survive?

A chicken raised in Jiyuan city, central China’s Henan Province has demonstrated remarkable survival instincts.

The bird, now widely known as “tough chicken”, got one of its claws injured when it was enclosed in a cage. Unable to stand straight, the chicken then closed its eyes to pain and bit off the other claw.

Seeing this, the chicken’s owner, Cheng, felt sorry for the bird. He immediately let it out and tended to it everyday.
“I hoped its wound could heal soon,” Cheng told Jiyuan Morning News, a local newspaper.

Now, Cheng’s tough chicken can stand steady and walk on its clawless stumps.

Have a look at the portraits of the strong-willed bird.
