THE REALLY BLESSED - BY REV. FIDEL ADUAYE ODIETE

Are people that have NOT seen, yet they believe:
" Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:29 NKJV

Yea, the blessed are the ones that are not convinced through their sight.

God was very VISIBLE to the OT folks under Moses:

He showed them His hand, through mindboggling signs, wonders and miracles.

Then He came down to them on mount Sinai and spoke to them audibly.
Read Nehemiah 9:10-13.

YET:
All that encountered God in this manner, DIED IN UNBELIEF.
" For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."
Hebrews 3:16, 19 NKJV

BUT, the Bible records people that died in faith, even though they did not receive or see the promises of God.-Heb 11:13.

These received "a good testimony" before God (Heb 11:2) because they got their convictions not from what their eyes saw, but from the word of God they heard and received. They thus got faith.-Rom 10:17.

Genuine believers are not produced from observing signs, wonders and miracles.

Any 'belief' from such spectacles are temporary and would wane if a new 'miracle' does not appear soon. To keep the 'belief' going, miracles must keep being seen.

Thus, a ministry that is devoted to SHOWING people miracles, is seriously missing it.

It (such ministry) is by this act producing only 'Athenian believers', people that would always be seeking to be entertained with a new thing.-Acts 17:21

People that only mentally accent for a season, and then seek for new entertainment.

Wake up Preacher, and focus on preaching the Word of God to those that come to you, instead of doing things.

Let them be convinced with the words from your mouth, and not the works of your hands. Then you will produce genuine believers, who walk by faith, not by sight. Read:

" For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts."
Malachi 2:7 NKJV

Read through your NT and tell me how many times you read Jesus or his Apostles 'testify' to the myriads of miracles that happened through their hands.

And check out the percentage of the people that flocked to them to see or receive miracles, that remained true believers to the end.

Jesus and His Ministers focused on giving The Word to all that came to them. The mira and cles that attended their preaching of the word was NEVER a focus or an issue.

GROW UP and stop all those DRY testimonies you use to disrupt your Church programs. They can only earn you FANS, not genuine believers in Christ. They have NO capacity to produce heartfelt and enduring believers.

SHALOM.
