MAN'S CAR SNATCHED WITH HIS DAUGHTER INSIDE AT APPLE JUNCTION AMUWO

Yesterday June 20th, a man's car with my phones, iPad, passport & other documents in it was snatched at Raji Rasaki, Amuwo Odofin, close to Apple Junction.
The worse part of the ordeal was that the man's daughter was also in the car when it was snatched. But thankfully, the little girl was found around Ejigbo, but the car is yet to be found.


It's a Toyota Camry with plate no.: EPE 891 DZ. Please if found, kindly report to the nearest police station and/or call 08083535857, 07068590320.

MAN SMUGGLES INDIAN HEMP TO BROTHER INSIDE KIRIKIRI PRISON

A Federal High Court in Lagos, on Friday, sentenced 24 year-old-man, Patrick Amadi to two years in prison for smuggling marijuana into kirikiri prison. Amadi was charged by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on one count of drug trafficking. Justice Ayotunde Faji sentenced Amadi after he pleaded guilty and begged the court to temper justice with mercy and promised not to engage in crime again. Justice Faji said the prison term should begin from the date of his arrest and admonished him to use the jail period to turn a new leaf and become a better person. Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, told the court that the accused was arrested on June 18 at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison in Lagos with 200 grammes of the narcotics. Aernan said Amadi was caught with the substance in his sandals, which he planned to hand over to his brother, whom he went to visit. "PRISON OFFICERS EXTORT MONEY FROM US AT THE TRAINING SCHOOL" - TRAINEES

By Stella Iyaji, Joshua Odeyemi (Abuja) & Eugene Agha Officers of the Nigeria Prison Service undergoing a training programme at its institution in Kirikiri Town, Lagos, have accused officials of the school of extortion in the guise of providing them with uniforms. About 408 personnel of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Prisons, drawn from commands across the country, are participating in a three-month course on development at the institution, Daily Trust on Sunday gathered. The programme is due to be concluded on November 15, it was gathered. Participants, however, alleged that the school had forced each of them to pay N37000 for ceremonial dress, belts and caps, items they claimed to posses. 11 VILLAGERS KILLED BY ARMED MEN IN GARA-GARA COMMUNITY

Motorcycle-riding gunmen in northern Nigeria have killed 11 people, local government and community leaders said Wednesday, in the latest violence in the area. The attack on Monday came a day after assailants gunned down 18 wedding guests in a nearby village. The gunmen stormed Gora Gan village in Kaduna state after dark and opened fire on residents, said Elias Manza, administrative head of Zangon Kataf district. “The gunmen killed 11 people in the attack and left 15 with serious injuries,” he said. The attackers also torched houses, a church, a car and seven motorcycles. Community leader Jonathan Asake who gave a similar toll, said hundreds had fled their homes for fear of renewed attacks. “We have a total of 559 people who are afraid to go back to their homes and are sheltering in a primary school in the (nearby) town of Zonkwa,” he said.
