FLAMINGO'S ARE PRETTY IN PINK - AREN'T THEY?

Pretty in pink! Gorgeous pictures show thousands of ‪flamingo‬ chicks wading through Turkish salt flats with their protective parents in tow.

These are the amazing scenes as thousands of flamingo chicks emerged from their nests at ‪Salt Lake‬, which is home to the biggest colony of the birds in ‪#‎Turkey‬..

The colony is based in ‪‎Aksaray‬, in the ‪Mediterranean‬ basin. Photographer Murat Oner captured the amazing images during the annual event where the birds leave their nests for the first time.

Flamingos develop their distinctive pink color by eating brine shrimp which is found in the salty waters in the area.
