48 YEAR-OLD-MAN JAILED FOR RAPING HIS 3 DAUGHTERS

For allegedly raping his three daughters, a 48-year-old man, Micheal Ogbar, on Tuesday, appeared before an Ikeja chief magistrates’ court.

Tajudeen Elias, the chief magistrate, refused to hear his plea and remanded him in Kirikiri prisons.

Elias said the court had no jurisdiction over the case and, therefore, transferred the matter to Apapa magistrates’ court.

The accused is facing a two-count charge of defilement and rape.

Rafael Donny, the prosecutor, told the court that the offenses were committed between January and May at the accused residence.

“The accused sexually abused his 24, 20 and 10 year-old daughters,” he said.

The offenses contravened sections 137 and 259 of the criminal law of Lagos state, 2011

LAGOS GOVERNOR APPROVES NGN1.5B PENSION MONEY FOR LG RETIREES

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the release of N1.5billion intervention fund for the payment of outstanding gratuities and pension arrears of local government retirees in the state.
