48 YEAR-OLD-MAN JAILED FOR RAPING HIS 3 DAUGHTERS

For allegedly raping his three daughters, a 48-year-old man, Micheal Ogbar, on Tuesday, appeared before an Ikeja chief magistrates’ court.

Tajudeen Elias, the chief magistrate, refused to hear his plea and remanded him in Kirikiri prisons.

Elias said the court had no jurisdiction over the case and, therefore, transferred the matter to Apapa magistrates’ court.

The accused is facing a two-count charge of defilement and rape.

Rafael Donny, the prosecutor, told the court that the offenses were committed between January and May at the accused residence.

“The accused sexually abused his 24, 20 and 10 year-old daughters,” he said.

The offenses contravened sections 137 and 259 of the criminal law of Lagos state, 2011

7 STUDENTS AND ONE TEACHER KIDNAPPED IN DAMBO-KASAYA COMMUNITY

By Ibrahim Mohammed Armed men on Monday attacked a school in Kaduna, killing one person and kidnapping seven students and a teacher, residents said. The armed men killed a man and abducted seven students and a teacher of Prince Academy, located at Damba-Kasaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday when the gunmen stormed the rural community while the students were preparing for their Junior secondary school examination‎. It gathered that the abducted students are JSS3 students who were among the exit students asked to resume by the federal and state government. MASSIVE LANDSLIDE KILLS 2 IN WEST JAVA COMMUNITY

LALONG VISITS VICTIMS OF JOS VIOLENCE

DRUG TRAFFICKING: SUSPECT NABBED WITH 106 PARCELS OF HEMP & 4 PASSPORTS

A suspected cannabis trafficker, Mr. Sylvester Gbenga has been arrested by the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS. Gbenga was arrested at Gbaji Customs checkpoint along Lagos-Badagry expressway on Wednesday and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, yesterday. In a statement by the Customs Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Command, Taupyen Selchang, the suspect was arrested with about 106 parcels of hemp.
