The demolition of five buildings out of six inside the Local Authority Primary School, Kirikiri town, has taken a new twist as government moves the rubble to an undisclosed location.
Noting the critical point that many of the roads in Kirikiri town are in crying need of filling as the rainy season bites harder, yet the rubble from the demolished building were taken away instead of being used to fill up the streets.
Speaking to the chief contractor at midnight while he was directing the truck drivers during the excavation, he said that government knows where the rubble are being taken to.
“The government knows where the rubble are being taken to and I have given the community two tippers to fill up this Agunbiade and Johnson road. That’s all I can say” the chef contractor told Kirikiri News Media.
However, over fifteen trucks covering several rips moved in, to and fro lifting sand and rubble from the demolished site. They all headed towards the Kirikiri link bridge out of the town.
It is yet unknown where the rubble were being taken to.
