KIRIKIRI ALL STARS FOOTBALL CLUB CELEBRATES MEMBERS BIRTHDAY

2013-2014 Champions of the All Stars Lagos State Cup, Kirikiri All Stars Football Club took some time out of their busy football schedule to celebrate with fellow team members whose birthday fall in May. Otas Thomas Omororiwa, Mrs. Queen Mbama and others were among the celebrants.
The event was held at Enugu Bar/Resort Center inside the Prison Barracks, Kirikiri town just after the team finished their compulsory weekly training. According to the teams Chairman and ex-president, celebrating the birthdays of fellow team members is a trend among them and it has been practiced for year and it is a way to maintain love and unity among all team members.

Speaking with the Chairman of the club, Chief Sunday Ifeanyi Agulefo who expressed his warm gratitude and love to team members whose birthday fall in the month of May didn't fail to shower them with prayers;

"I am happy for my fellow team members and I wish the celebrants long life and prosperity and most importantly Gods blessing" Chief Sunday Ifeanyi Agulefo spoke to Kirikiri News Media.

Also the ex-president of the club, Mr. Maribe Chinedu did not forget to comment on the happenings of the day aside being the master of the ceremony.

"I wish the celebrants good health and success in all their endeavors" Maribe chinedu uttered.

Further commenting on the successes of the club as its ex-president, Maribe Chinedu a Master Degree holder in International Relations from Ogun State University and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Calabar who was the clubs president for 2 years mentioned that the club members are one big family without any atom of jealousy among them. passionate football lovers all brought together by Godly love. He also created the first edition of the monthly celebration of team members. While he was president, the club won their first trophy.

Also recognized at the event was Bombay, Ajodun Eretan [Otunba 75] Coach Lawrence, ex-international, Awala Jumbo, former Patron of the club and others. The event was a success and it is scheduled to hold next month with another set of celebrants.

WORLD'S OLDEST MAN DIES AT 116 IN SOUTH AFRICA

                   Fredie Blom - seen here on his 116th birthday - said there was no special secret to his longevity A South African who was thought to be the oldest man in the world has died at the age of 116. Fredie Blom's identity documents showed he was born in Eastern Cape province in May 1904, although that was never verified by Guinness World Records. When he was a teenager, his entire family was wiped out by the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. He went on to survive two world wars and apartheid.
