HON. DIPO'S VISIT TO ARMY POST IN FESTAC TOWN

Lagos State House of Assembly Constituency II Representative, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu visited the Nigeria Army post in Festac town  facing the canal and shared with his constituents his findings.
excerpts from his facebook page;

"A lot has been said about the brutal nature of the division of the Nigerian army base in Festac Town who have been assigned the tasked of securing the land and water territory from vandals and bank robbers attackers.
I must say my visit to the base was as a result of reports from residents that the soldiers have become somewhat unfriendly. These accusation is in relation to recent brutality of one Barr. Sipe, ...a lawyer in Festac Town after a recent encounter. I have spoken to the victim and heard both sides of the story.

Security is a very vital, the last attack on banks in Festac is one we will never see again. In my discussion with these gallant soldiers, I was made to understand that some miscreants and imposters claiming to be men of the Nigerian army have gone round causing havoc and terrorizing citizens. The commander also made me understand that his men have been victims of constant attacks which is never made know to the public. He did say some arrests have been made as a result of working together with other security bodies like SSS, Police, NSCDC.
He confirmed the perpetrators have been identified and would be dealt with while calling on residents to be careful and report suspicious activities. I call on Festac residents to please continue to show support for these men who have come to help us secure our community even as we accommodate them, they need all the morale support they can get.
