" I THINK COMFORT-OBOH MAY BE UNDER A SPELL" - RESIDENT

Written by U. D .Okechukwu

"Many times when I wake up early to pray, I feel there is this atmosphere that isn't conducive for prayers. Yet I persist" Mrs. Ndibe expressed as she spoke to Kirikiri News Media.Kirikiri-Agia Estate is known all over by its major street called Comfort-Oboh. This area is purely residential but businesses such as truck parks, repair and haulage services, manufacturing industries, and warehouse bulk storage are by fair means or foul, part of the area. Its located just before the Kirikiri Industrial Estate.

Mrs Ndibe further explained that the eastern dominated area has no presence of what could give the youths a reason to dream.

"Look at the area, house wives every where, widows, unemployed youths, little children all doing nothing but mopping at their lives high and dry. While the house wives are busy running their shops and petty trades, the youths live a happy-go-lucky life and the children just grow to become a brass farthing if they are not focused. My brother, gossip is the order of the day here in Comfort-Oboh. News spread more than your newspaper. This place may be under a spell, I tell you" Mrs. Ndibe concluded.

During our survey, just after speaking with some other residents who added a little seasoning to what Mrs. Ndibe said, we discovered that businesses such as schools, restaurants and bar thrive better than others. More than half of the residents population attend Catholic Church.

A pastor of a Pentecostal church at St. Michael Street of the estate who did not want his name in print, debunked such claim saying he does not believe in that, although, there are forces of darkness but God in his infinite mercy will bring constant light to the area.

Walking from the main estate gate at Okoduwa Street to the end at Ozuchuria Street where there is a fence, one would nurture a burning question at heart as to why the area remains a circumstantial evidence of an area-end job yet occupied by wealthy individuals.
