16 YEAR OLD BOY FOUND DEAD IN A POOL AT FESTAC TOWN COMMUNITY

By Victor Gbonegun A cloud of confusion still trails the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of a sixteen-year-old boy, Ezekiel Chukwu in FESTAC town, Lagos State, as police authorities are yet to unearth the cause of his death. Chukwu had disappeared mysteriously on the evening of Sunday, July 7, from 41 Road FESTAC, close to the local government secretariat. According to The Guardian’s investigation, Chukwu, a Catholic altar server in one of the popular church at 41 Road, had attended the first and second services in the morning and returned home. He left home later in the evening to return for a special programme at the church but his lifeless body with blood dripping from his mouth and nose was found beside a pool in a club along 21 Road, FESTAC town, the next day, July 8. Father of the boy, Emmanuel Chukwu, struggling to be barely audible due to the death of his son, said: “We don’t know exactly what happened, all we know is that he went to church as an altar server wi

WORLD'S OLDEST MAN DIES AT 116 IN SOUTH AFRICA

                   Fredie Blom - seen here on his 116th birthday - said there was no special secret to his longevity A South African who was thought to be the oldest man in the world has died at the age of 116. Fredie Blom's identity documents showed he was born in Eastern Cape province in May 1904, although that was never verified by Guinness World Records. When he was a teenager, his entire family was wiped out by the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. He went on to survive two world wars and apartheid. Mr Blom told the BBC in 2018 that there was no special secret to his longevity . "There's only one thing - it's the man above [God]. He's got all the power. I have nothing. I can drop over any time but He holds me," he said. QUEEN OF ENGLAND VISITS VICTIMS OF THE MANCHESTER ATTACK

The Queen has condemned the "wicked" Manchester attack as she met children injured by the suicide bombing. She visited Royal Manchester Children's Hospital where she also spoke with staff who have treated the victims. The Queen expressed her shock that young people had been targeted in the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert. At least six children were killed in Monday's blast, including an eight-year-old girl, and a number of others were seriously injured. The Queen praised hospital staff for "coming together" after hearing how many had come in from home offering their assistance in the wake of the bombing.
