Traders in tears as Lagos state Govt. demolish Sabo market, Ikorodu.

The demolition was reportedly carried out by the Lagos state government on the night of May 3rd, after the traders had closed for the day.

Sahara reporters shared a video of the scene this morning,showing the market women wailing uncontrollably at the heartbreaking sight of the demolished shop with many of them blaming their woes on the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

7 STUDENTS AND ONE TEACHER KIDNAPPED IN DAMBO-KASAYA COMMUNITY

By Ibrahim Mohammed Armed men on Monday attacked a school in Kaduna, killing one person and kidnapping seven students and a teacher, residents said. The armed men killed a man and abducted seven students and a teacher of Prince Academy, located at Damba-Kasaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday when the gunmen stormed the rural community while the students were preparing for their Junior secondary school examination‎. It gathered that the abducted students are JSS3 students who were among the exit students asked to resume by the federal and state government. MASSIVE LANDSLIDE KILLS 2 IN WEST JAVA COMMUNITY

Two died as result of house being swept away According to the National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB), the two were killed as a result of a house being swept away by the landslide. DRUG TRAFFICKING: SUSPECT NABBED WITH 106 PARCELS OF HEMP & 4 PASSPORTS

A suspected cannabis trafficker, Mr. Sylvester Gbenga has been arrested by the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS. Gbenga was arrested at Gbaji Customs checkpoint along Lagos-Badagry expressway on Wednesday and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, yesterday. In a statement by the Customs Public Relations Officer, PRO of the Command, Taupyen Selchang, the suspect was arrested with about 106 parcels of hemp. The statement said, “The arrest of the suspect was possible through intelligence gathering by the seizing officers, led by A/C Abubakar Hamza, who trailed the suspect from neighboring Benin Republic.

BABY COMES OUT HOLDING CONTRACEPTIVE IN HAI PHONG COMMUNITY

By Michael B. Some rather weird photos that’s begun trending on the web, show a newborn baby holding his mum’s contraceptive coil which failed to stop her falling pregnant with him. The newborn baby boy is seen clasping his mother’s yellow and black intrauterine device in his hand at Hai Phong International Hospital in the city of Hai Phong in northern Vietnam. Obstetrician Tran Viet Phuong said the device had come out when the baby was born. The infant had it held firmly in his hands when the picture was taken, it is claimed. Dr Phuong told local media, “After delivery, I thought him holding the device was interesting, so I took a picture. “I never thought it would receive so much attention.” The baby’s 34-year-old mother claims she had the coil inserted two years earlier but it did not work because she later discovered she was pregnant.
