AWOLOWO ROAD CONSUMED BY HEAVY FLOOD

According to facebook user Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, This is Awolowo road Ikeja after the rain that fell this evening.
Note: Ikeja is mainland part of Lagos and not Island and yet the whole Ikeja was flooded yesterday evening.
Imagine then Island axis of Lagos like Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Banana Island this period that it rains daily....
One Oyibo friend of mine once told me that for all the opportunities and prosperity in this cosmopolitan city, Lagos is one of the most expensive slum in the world.
Whether that assertion is true or false is a discussion for another day.

7 STUDENTS AND ONE TEACHER KIDNAPPED IN DAMBO-KASAYA COMMUNITY

By Ibrahim Mohammed Armed men on Monday attacked a school in Kaduna, killing one person and kidnapping seven students and a teacher, residents said. The armed men killed a man and abducted seven students and a teacher of Prince Academy, located at Damba-Kasaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Monday when the gunmen stormed the rural community while the students were preparing for their Junior secondary school examination‎. It gathered that the abducted students are JSS3 students who were among the exit students asked to resume by the federal and state government. MASSIVE LANDSLIDE KILLS 2 IN WEST JAVA COMMUNITY

Two died as result of house being swept away According to the National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB), the two were killed as a result of a house being swept away by the landslide. ABULEADO, a sleepy community in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State has been hit by uneasy calm since the disappearance of a two-year-old girl, Chinaza Agwa from her parents’ bedside on March 6.
