Continued from last week...
“What is it, why are you knocking on the door so loudly and causing panic among my family members?” Punto spoke unsympathetically to Brigante.

“You will not believe what happened this morning” Brigante articulated.

“Whatever happened should wait till we are done with our morning prayers” Punto said as he closed the door on Brigante.

“Wait, wait, please wait, and remember the invincible thing we caught last night” 

“And what about it, has it disappeared, please enough of your talk, we will see later” Punto said as he closed the door.

“It has turned into a goat. A golden goat” Brigante screamed.

Without much ado, Punto returned to the door, opened it and asked;
“What did you just say Brigante?”
“The invincible thing we caught last night turned into a golden goat this morning” Brigante said firmly.
“hmmmmm. You better don’t pull my legs. Let’s go check it out” Punto said as he banged the door.

Punto and Brigante took the front gate to get to the Brigante’s backyard. When they got there, the golden goat was busy eating a yam that Brigante’s mother kept just beside the tree where it was tied yester night.

“This is unbelievable” Punto shouted in amazement.
“How could this be true, how on earth could this be” Punto was still surprised at the turn of events.

“I was as shocked as you are this morning when I saw it” Brigante expressed.

“What do we do now” both boys said at the same time.
 “Produce my yam, which is what you both will do now” Brigante’s mother said.

“And by the way, where did this goat come from, what is going on here” Brigante’s mother questioned.

Brigante took his time to tell his mother every single detail of yester night’s event till present. She too was stunned and decided not to hear it all alone. She immediately alerted her husband who in turn was briefed to his amazement. They all began to ponder on what has to be done.

FG SET TO BAN SALE OF ALCOHOL IN SMALL BOTTLES AND SACHET - SEE WHY

The Federal Government has issued directives targeted at phasing out the sale and consumption of alcohol in sachets and polyethylene terephthalate, PET, bottles. The goal is to reduce availability and curb abuse. Effective January 31 2021, producers of alcohol in sachets and small bottles are to reduce production by 50 per cent of capacity prior to January 2020. Mojisola Adeyeye, director-general of the National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, disclosed this in a statement. Adeyeye said uncontrolled access and availability of high concentration alcohol in sachet and small volume PET or glass bottles contribute to substance and alcohol abuse in Nigeria. She added that NAFDAC and the ministry of health have engaged major shareholders and have reached certain agreements. Before Punto took his shower at his home and rested, he spoke at length with his parents and siblings narrating everything that had happened without missing a line. Checheskey’s parents took him home without giving him a chance to say goodbye to Punto. Although both boys knew it is definite that they will meet in their usual place if the need arises.
