COMMUNITY CRISIS: AUTHORITY STOPS ALL COMMUNITY YOUTH TASKFORCE FROM COLLECTING TOLLS FROM TRUCKS

Just beside the electric pole, the CDA Youth canopy stood erect at Agunbiade Street collection tolls from incoming trucks but has not been there for a week and counting
The entire community youth taskforce of the three CDA’s has been stopped from collecting tolls from incoming trucks to the depot – Kirikiri News Media reports.

Incoming trucks are billed to pay tolls ranging from NGN500-NGN700 to the Community Youth Task Force after they must have paid the NUPENG on the link bridge then heading to the last point of payment at Alekotile junction before entering the desired loading oil depot facility.

Apparently, due to the crisis of the CDA2 youths, the order was given by the Nigeria Army troops who put a stop to the bloody fight as well as the ultimate reason for the fight – tolls collection till – further notice. The NUPENG also had a roll to play in the stoppage.

Kirikiri News Media learnt that some of the community youth members who were gainfully employed with either of the depots or other organizations has fallen back to their job while others who had no back up job has been spotted playing board games such as draft, ludo and chess everyday. Some however, have started a small trade to assist their families.
A close source to one of the youth presidents confided in Kirikiri News Media on the tolls stoppage saying that the CDA2 youths have accomplished their mission finally.

“They have finally accomplished their mission. Well, nothing more to say other than we will try our best to resolve the matter with the elders” the source said.

Another elder who did not want his name in print said that the youths situated in CDA 2 prefers to spoil than create.
“The CDA2 youths cannot create anything yet they love to spoil. Now that they wall won't collect tolls, lets see how and what they would do with their lives. God help them come to a peace agreement” the elder spoke to Kirikiri News Media.

The Baale of Kirikiri town, Chief A.S Agunbiade II was not available for comments due to the heartache the matter causes him when mentioned at the time of filing this report.
