THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE IN THE RIGHT POSITION AND THAT HINDERS OUR COMMUNITY’S DEVELOPMENT" – KIRIKIRI TOWN RESIDENTS IN DIASPORA (KTRD)

The President, Kirikiri Town Residents in Diaspora (KTRD) Mr. Ken, stated during an international phone conversation with Kirikiri News Media that the wrong people are in the right positions and that hinders our community’s development.

“If the right people were in the right positions of authority in the community, they would have attained a level of development. The Community Development Associations which should be a body of influence is just a crying shame. To make things work, we all cannot fold our arms and watch. Development doesn’t come with prayers alone. We need a voice, we need action, and we need the ability to say where the shoe pinches us. We also need to allow educated youths practice their career and develop their minds through our community associations and other relevant bodies. We can’t allow a vibrant youth to wallow in fellow feeling when the positions they are needed are being occupied by elders and men over 40 years of age claiming to be youths - and they are not ready to relinquish power but ready to use the youths as rags for their dog-in-the-manager policy “ Mr. Ken mentioned.

Kirikiri News Media gathered that there is an estimated figure of 400 unemployed graduates resident in Kirikiri town. These graduates are not eager to work with the Community Developments Associations because their leaders ask them to show loyalty by collecting tolls from the incoming trucks on the road for a month before they become certified members of the association.

Lawyers, Architects, Engineers, Doctors, are among the many qualifications needed to drive the various CDA’s visions to achievement.
Imagine a body made up of several qualifications ready to use it for a cause?

Kirikiri Town Residents in Diaspora (KTRD) is a growing body aimed at ensuring progress and development in a community where they had their first milk.
